1. Monteliusvagen

First on our list is making sure you take time to experience the beauty of Monteliusvagen!

This will require you to walk along a satisfying 500m pathway where you’ll see the gorgeous river Lake Mälaren unravel before your eyes.

This accompanied with full sight of Stockholm City Hall and Riddarholmen will simply take your breath away on a clear day. It’s not to be missed and gives you that essential panoramic view which is a must.

2. Fjällgatan

Fjallgatan is ideal for a beautiful viewpoint of Stockholm’s Old Town. Set in the Södermalm neighbourhood, you can take the time to fully absorb the scenic view and appreciate the skyline of Gamla Stan.

3. Skinnarviksberget

Skinnarviksberget offers up a fantastic view of both river and Swedish skyline overlooking Gamla Stan, Kungsholmen and Stockholm City Hall.

What makes the location so unique is being able to absorb the highest natural viewpoint from Stockholm! It’s also a destination to take a break, have a picnic and watch the sunset go down.

4. Drottiningholm Palace

An alternative yet extravagant viewpoint can be found by visiting Drottiningholm Palace! It’s slightly less than a 20 min drive from the centre of Stockholm but totally worth absorbing what is a majestic sight.

Drottiningholm Palace has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991 and certainly brings something new and majestic to your viewpoints tour.

There’s also clearly a lot to see but for us it’s about catching the moment of the Palace facade viewpoint which brings a real sense of splendour with the greenery at the front.

You’ll get to explore the distinct Baroque architecture, Palace apartments and visit the wonderful Chinese pavilion (also known as Kina Slott) decorated in the finest Rococo interiors.

So if a lavish exploration of the Palace, theatre and park suit you this option is really a no brainer to soak up that facade viewpoint.

5. Gondolen

One of the best Stockholm viewpoints can be found in Slussen where access to the Gondolen viewing platform gives you a unique perspective of the city. At almost 11 stories high this stunning view includes Gamla Stan, Riddarholmen and Kungsholmen really adding something quite special!

The alternative is to book a table at the recently refurbished yet very stylish Gondolen restaurant where the outside dining terrace on your left gives you an incredible viewpoint of the city. This is perfect for those who like fine dining dinner, drinks and with a view to truly match.

6. Västerbron

Västerbron also known in English as West Bridge is the ideal destination for capturing a stunning Stockholm viewpoint. It’s arguably the best panoramic view from a bridge which stretches over 340 metres across the water.

Do take the time to relax and enjoy the moment especially with clear skies being able to see Gamla Stan.

7. Stockholm City Hall

Stockholm city hall standing at 106 metres high offers up another magical viewpoint of the Swedish capital. Expect nothing less than a magnificent shot capturing the city skyline and architecture in all its glory.

There are many stairs up City Hall however you’re absolutely rewarded for the final panoramic view at the very top!
